      When the cannabis plant flowers and creates a bud, very small leaves form on and around the flower bud. These leaves contain copious amounts of trichomes, which are the tiny glands that contain the THCa and other cannabinoids. These valuable leaves need to be "trimmed" off to create a nice looking bud hence the name "Trim".
